Last promenade

On my last day in the hospital I took an extended walk through town to try to capture the essence of daily life in Ekwendeni. Before I knew it people were dragging me into their shop to take a picture, a group of women stopped me in the middle of the road to take their photograph, a group of children playing soccer called out "mzungu" because they also wanted to be photographed.
